Homemade Beef Liver Paté

Ancestral Nutrition Beef Liver Pate Recipe

If you're into paté you HAVE to try this! Most shop-bought patés are chicken liver which taste pretty good but this beef liver paté takes it to the next level 😍⁠


  • 1kg beef liver⁠
  • 300g bacon⁠
  • 300g butter⁠
  • One onion⁠
  • 5 cloves garlic⁠
  • 2tsp Pepper⁠
  • Three sprigs rosemary⁠


  1. Dice the liver and bacon, onion and garlic.⁠
  2. Sauté the onion and garlic in 25g butter. Don’t overcook.⁠
  3. Fry off the bacon and liver well browned in 25g of butter.⁠
  4. Combine onion, garlic, liver and bacon mixture.⁠
  5. Add rosemary (finely chopped) to the pan and mix well.⁠
  6. Season heavily with pepper to taste.⁠
  7. Melt remaining butter.⁠
  8. In a food processor or blender add a few tablespoons of the liver mix with all the melted butter. Blitz for 10 seconds.
  9. Add remaining liver mix in small portions until all of the butter and liver is smooth.⁠
  10. Spoon into a ramekin and add a little melted butter off the top and refrigerate.
