Meat-Based Pizza

If you like pizza but want to skip the gluten, dairy and seeds oils then try this. The base is full of meaty goodness and you can customise the toppings to taste 👌⁠

Ingredients: Makes 1 Pizza⁠

  • 500g grass-fed beef mince ⁠
  • 2 tsp @ancestral_nutrition liver powder⁠
  • 2 tsp onion powder⁠
  • 2 tbsp psyllium husk⁠
  • ½ tsp salt ⁠
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)⁠

Topping (ideas):⁠

  • Pizza/tomato sauce⁠
  • Bacon ⁠
  • Pineapple ⁠
  • Roasted capsicum⁠
  • Red onion⁠
  • Mushrooms⁠
  • Olives ⁠

Method:⁠

  1. Preheat oven to 220C⁠
  2. Mix beef mince, onion powder, psyllium husk, salt, liver powder and dried oregano in a mixing bowl. ⁠
  3. On a baking paper or foil lined round tray, roll out the meat mix into a circular and flat shape. Put in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until it starts to go crispy on the outside.⁠
  4. Spread the pasta/tomato sauce on the meat base, top with capsicum, bacon (cooked), pineapple and other toppings that you’re using. ⁠
  5. Put back in the oven for 5-10 minutes. ⁠
  6. Finish with topping of choice and cut into eight pieces to serve. ⁠
