Gluten Free Primal Sausage Rolls

Have you ever tried making sausage rolls with rice paper rolls as the pastry?It’s such a game changer... crispy, golden and naturally gluten free.⁠ @its_scarlett_lee takes another twist - boosting the filling with our Primal Energy Women’s Beef Organ blend, it’s the easiest way to sneak in nutrient-dense organs (without the taste). ⁠ Perfect for an easy lunch or to pop into the kids’ lunchboxes.⁠ ⁠

Ingredients:

  • 500g pork mince⁠
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 apple⁠
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp all spice
  • ½ tsp salt⁠
  • 1–2 tsp Primal Energy Beef Organ Powder
  • 3 eggs + 2 tbsp milk, whisked together (for the rice paper)⁠
  • Rice paper sheets (2 per roll) ⁠ ⁠ 

Method:

  1. Mix mince, veggies, spices + Primal Energy for the filling (TIP: finely chop veggies in the food processor to make them extra kid-friendly).⁠
  2. Whisk eggs + milk. Soak 2 rice paper sheets in the egg mixture until starting to soften.⁠
  3. Place filling on top, tuck in the sides and roll up into a sausage roll.⁠
  4. Sprinkle on sesame seeds.⁠
  5. Bake at 180°C for 25–30 mins until golden + crunchy. ⁠ Slice and enjoy - makes 6 big rolls. ⁠
